As CREATE-X scales toward its vision of serving 100% of Georgia Tech students, increasing the involvement of our faculty in the program is critical, and this is especially important for disciplines that are not typically associated with entrepreneurship. Jim Pope’s fellowship program will allow us to attract the best of our faculty and train them in entrepreneurial methodologies and curriculum.

What does the fellowship give?
- $15,000 in discretionary funds to seek a partial reprieve from teaching for one semester.
- Mentorship and education on evidence-based entrepreneurship via courses
- Opportunity to work with talented students launching their own startups
- Support in exploring a startup idea.
What do we expect?
- A commitment to lead multiple CREATE-X programs after training.
- We strongly encourage fellows to continue participating in CREATE-X programs (such as the following) for at least two more years after the fellowship:
- Startup Lab or Tech Ventures
- CREATE-X Capstone or Idea-to-Prototype
- Startup Launch
