Startup Lab

Startup Lab teaches evidence-based entrepreneurship. This semester-long three-credit class covers ideation, teaming, customer discovery, MVPs, and the business model canvas. In this hands-on course for undergraduate students at Georgia Tech, students learn how to launch a technology startup by combining in-class lectures with out-of-class learning. You will discover a compelling value proposition thesis by going out and interviewing people. You will need to commit six hours a week of time outside of the class time to be successful.

"Georgia Tech programs such as CREATE-X Startup Lab has helped me as a young entrepreneur develop the confidence to tackle the challenges of building a successful startup. The entrepreneurship ecosystem that these programs help foster has given me access to invaluable resources. The lessons learned in the courses, advice from seasoned entrepreneur mentors, and training through physical real-world application, to name a few, are some of the resources that have guided our startup to where it is today."

-Vien Ha, CEO & co-founder, iSimu VR, CREATE-X Startup Launch Batch 4

Customer Discovery

Then you will learn about customer discovery and go out into the field and interview potential customers. At least twenty customer interviews are required each week so that you may start with a hypothesis and end with a product/service that customers want.
